NWOCA AWARDS NOMINATIONS
Northwest Ohio Counseling Association Chapter of Ohio Counseling Association 2024 Awards:
Submission deadline is 5 pm on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 The Northwest Ohio Counseling Association is accepting nominations for
• Counselor of the Year
• Supervisor of the Year
• Graduate Student of the Year
Award recipients will be announced at our next open board meeting.
NWOCA Counselor of the Year is presented to a counselor who consistently provides outstanding client services, models exemplary ethical and professional behavior, and shows commitment and dedication to the counseling profession.
NWOCA Supervisor of the Year is presented to a counseling supervisor who has provided exceptional counseling supervision. This individual is committed to advancing the counseling profession through quality supervision and prioritizes supervisee growth and development as a professional counselor.
NWOCA Graduate Student of the Year is presented to a master's or doctoral-level counseling student. This individual shows a commitment to the counseling profession through exceptional academic performance and shows promise as a future professional counselor.
The nominee must be a current member of OCA/NWOCA and be/have been enrolled in a counseling program during the academic year 2023-2024. If you know someone who meets these criteria, please nominate them for the NWOCA Counselor of the Year, Supervisor of the Year, or Counseling Graduate Student of the Year award. Please provide a short letter (maximum of 500 words) indicating why you believe your nominee should receive this award.
Nominations must come from active NWOCA/OCA members. Nominees must be working or attending a graduate program in the NWOCA region. Membership is not required for the counselor and supervisor awards; however, nominated current NWOCA/OCA members will have an automatic advantage (1 “bonus” point) over non-members. Nominees should not have previously received the award. Letters of nomination should provide evidence that the nominee meets the criteria for the specified award. Award nomination letters can be submitted via this Google Form.
